We would like to purchase a wooden ironing board and wooden small world equipment to replicate the home environment. Children enjoy the home corner more than any other in this centre, the resources are incredibly well used and we would like to replace well loved toys. The children have requested a wooden ironing board and some other wooden toys for this area. Read more »

We would like to purchase a set of sensory blocks. Sixteen, easy to hold, chunky wooden sensory blocks. They provide many different visual experiences for children to enjoy comprising four different shapes, four different colours and four different inserts of sand, water, beads and coloured acrylic. Increasingly our staff find the space at Gilmerton Road severely limiting and not flexible enough to support the complex needs of the children we care for. We’ve put together some exciting plans to refurbish and extend the building to improve it for the children and families we work with – but we need your help to do this. Each of our Independent Visitors is matched with a looked-after child in Norfolk, and has a small budget of £10 to take them on monthly trips and activities. We’d like to give them some extra money to use, to pay for costs such as entrance fees, refreshments and travel. Read more »

We’d like to hire a mentor to join our team, to provide extra support to the young people in our foster placements. This money will allow us to hire a mentor for around 80 hours – giving them plenty of opportunity to spend quality time with our young people. Read more »

We’d like to fund activities and short breaks during the Christmas holidays for the local young carers we work with. This money will provide fun cooking workshops and craft making sessions, as well as transport for the young carers to get here and enjoy the festivities!
