About Us

What is My Action for Children?

My Action for Children is simply the quickest and easiest way for you to help the UK’s most vulnerable and neglected children and young people. In just three easy steps, you can give a child or young person anywhere in the UK the chance of a better future.

Where you give, and how you help, is entirely up to you:

1. Choose where you help. Find a project that’s close to home. Read about that project and see how you can help. We run nearly 480 projects throughout the UK, so there’s bound to be one near you that needs your support.

2. Choose how you help. As well as deciding where your gift goes, you can also choose how it will help. So pick a project that’s close to your heart and make it happen. You can buy a particular item, like a ball pool, or support a specific area of work, like fostering and adoption. You can even sponsor one of our projects.

3. See how you’ve helped. When the item is fully funded you will receive an email from the project showing you what a difference you have made to the lives of local children.

All the work you see on My Action for Children takes place in Action for Children’s UK family and community centres, children's services, services for disabled children and their families, and services for young people leaving care.

Who is Action for Children?

Action for Children is a UK children’s charity committed to helping the most vulnerable and neglected children and young people break through injustice, deprivation and inequality, so they can achieve their full potential. Founded by Methodist minister Thomas Stephenson in 1869, Action for Children has been helping the most vulnerable and neglected children for over 140 years.

We believe all children and young people have unique potential and that they should have the support and opportunities they need to achieve it.

Action for Children today

Action for Children is a national charity delivering services that respond to the local needs of children, young people, their families and communities.
