From July 2017, staff from Hays offices across the country are undertaking a variety of exciting and challenging fundraising activities, to support some of the most disadvantaged young people in the UK.
With the generous support of Hays colleagues, we will be able to deliver a new employability programme which will support even more young people to secure and maintain employment and training opportunities.
Our programme will target those who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) and who are the furthest away from the labour market, due to a range of complex challenges they are struggling to deal with. These multiple issues can include homelessness, substance misuse, criminal behaviour, financial issues, teenage pregnancy and numeracy and literacy issues.
Our expertise lies in breaking down these barriers and solving the root cause of the issue so that we can create lasting change.
The latest statistics from the ONS show that those aged under 25 are three times more likely to be unemployed compared to the rest of the general population – a figure that urgently needs to be addressed.
Together, we will help to break the cycle of deprivation and give them the opportunity to reach their potential.
