Donate through your salary

Payroll Giving, also known as Workplace Giving or Give as you Earn, is a simple way to make a regular donation to Action for Children straight from your salary.

How it works

Signing up to give through your salary is easy – just click below and fill in the online form.

Every time you're paid, your payroll department will deduct the agreed amount from your salary – you don’t need to do anything else.

Payroll Giving is one of the most tax-effective ways of giving to charity, because your donation is deducted from your gross pay before tax. So, if you agree to give £5, as a basic rate tax payer you’ll only pay £4 – the taxman makes up the remaining £1.

You donate:

It costs a standard rate tax payer (20%)

It costs a higher rate tax payer (40%)

How your regular donation helps

From before they are born until they are into their twenties, we help vulnerable children across the UK.

£5 could fund a disabled child’s place in an after-school activity session

£10 could pay for a one-to-one advice session for a young person leaving care

£15 could provide a bath, three emergency meals, laundry, personal items and emergency medication for a young person living on the street
