Recipe of The Week final-01

"On Thursday he ate through four strawberries." This week we are learning how to make strawberry jellies!

Jelly 2

You will need (to make six jellies):

  • 1 sachet of gelatine
  • 450ml of Cawston Press Kids' Blend Apple & Summer Berries juice
  • 15 ripe strawberries
  • 6 glasses
  • (Optional: whipped cream for decoration)

These little jellies are really easy to make, and take just half an hour to prepare!

1. Add 6 tsp boiling water into a jug.

2. Sprinkle on the gelatine, then whisk carefully until it dissolves.

3. Pour in the juice and whisk until smooth.

4. Use a knife to remove the hulls of the strawberries and then cut them into small pieces.

5. Add some pieces of strawberry to 6 glasses leaving a few to decorate at the end. They should be almost full, with room around them.

6. Pour the juice into the 6 glasses, filling them almost to the top.

7. Put them on a plate or tray in the fridge and allow around 4 hours for them to set.

8. When the jellies are set, decorate with whipped cream and the extra strawberries.
