My Action for Children (beta)

A very special Christmas treat for our very special children

What we need: We’d love to be able to take our disabled children and young people for a magical trip to the panto this Christmas – something most of them have never experienced before.

The difference it'll make: We work with local disabled children and their families, giving them lots of support and advice as well as precious time away from the difficulties of day-to-day life.
Sadly, having a disabled child can make things like trips to the theatre seem really daunting and unmanageable. And when mum and dad are worried about how their child will behave in a strange environment, what the facilities will be like, or how other siblings will react, it often makes the whole outing too much to cope with.

So, with your help, we’d love to arrange a visit to the panto for our amazing children. We’ll take lots of staff and volunteers, and specially organised transport, so that everyone has a wonderful time and the children get a really special experience this Christmas. It will be something they’ll treasure for a long time.

This funding will cover the costs of transport and tickets for 16 children and their support workers to see the pantomime this Christmas.
