Policy and research

We work tirelessly campaigning and influencing government, fighting for children's rights. Our ambition is that all children and young people are able to reach their potential.

All children deserve an equal hand in life, and we won't stop campaigning until they do. To make sure our work helps the most vulnerable children and young people, we are pressing for change on three key themes below.

The best start in life

A third of children are not ready to learn by age five. The Government must invest in support and early help, as well as tackling poverty and the crisis in social care.

A safe and loving home

Disabled children and their families lack the support they need. Children in care, especially teenagers, are facing placement instability. Children in need or at risk are not being offered the right help at the right time, only receiving support when they’ve already hit crisis point.

We are proudly working with the Alliance for Children in Care

Children in care have too often suffered abuse and neglect. And they don't currently get the help and support they need. By working in partnership with other organisations in the UK to make up this alliance, we are fighting harder for the rights of children in care and children leaving care.
