Woodlarks Children's Centre

Music. Let’s fill our playground with bangs and crashes!

What we need: We’d like to build an outdoor percussion area in our garden so all our local children can enjoy a totally new and exciting (and loud!) experience.

The difference it'll make: Our centre works with lots of local children who have special needs, autism or sight and hearing impairment. We’d love to build a percussion feature in our garden with loads of drums, cymbals and musical tubes to hit and bang – something everyone can do, whatever their disabilities.

And of course it will be great fun for all our children and their mums and dads, as well as a really exciting way of bringing music and rhythm to the centre.

It will really help us encourage group work, listening skills, communication, self-expression and creativity. And that all important skill, taking turns.

“Everyone can have fun banging a drum! Thank you for helping us bring music and laughter to all the local children who use our centre.”
